Kalihi Y Service Club members volunteered to do craft projects, help paint a new banner, and serve dinner at HUGS Respite Night. Children and volunteers got to decorate bookmarks, pencil boxes, and hangers. HUGS is a non-profit that supports families with a child who has a life-threatening illness or disease. Respite night is an opportunity for parents to have a date night, relax, or do much needed errands for a few hours while the children spent time with their respite volunteer and other children.
